Ledford graduates from Harding University
SEARCY, Ark. – Lindsey Ledford of Orange Park was among more than 400 graduates who received a diploma at Harding University’s commencement exercises on Dec. 17.
Ledford received a bachelor of arts in public relations.
Graduates include students from the College of Allied Health, College of Arts and Humanities, College of Bible and Ministry, Paul R. Carter College of Business Administration, Cannon-Clary College of Education, Carr College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy and College of Sciences.
University President Bruce D. McLarty presented the diplomas to the graduates.
A private Christian university located in Searcy, Arkansas, Harding University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is the largest private university in the state. Harding’s student body is made up of students representing 50 states and 54 nations and territories.

Midwestern State University announces December grads
WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Nicholas Austin Torres of Orange Park was among 442 graduate and undergraduate students who received degrees in December 2016 from Midwestern State University/
Torres graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science in radiologic sciences. Honor graduates receiving bachelor’s degrees included 17 summa cum laude, 27 magna cum laude, and 50 cum laude. Honor requirements are a grade point average of 3.9-4.0 for summa cum laude, 3.7-3.89 for magna cum laude and 3.5-3.69 for cum laude.

Carroll named to Harding University Deans List
SEARCY, Ark. – Mackenzie Carroll of Orange Park, a communication sciences and disorders major at Harding University, was among more than 1,400 university students included on the Dean’s List for grades achieved during the fall 2016 semester.
The Dean’s List is published each semester by University Provost Marty Spears to honor students who have achieved high scholarship. To be eligible, a student must carry 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher grade-point average and no incompletes.
Harding University is a private Christian university located in Searcy, Arkansas. Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, it is the largest private university in the state.

Van Dyke named to Dean’s List
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Garrett S. Van Dyke of Fleming Island was named to the fall 2016 Dean’s List at Samford University.
To qualify for the dean's list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean's List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.
Samford University is Alabama’s top-ranked private university and one of the nation’s top Christian universities. Samford enrolls more than 5,400 students from 47 states and 29 countries in its 10 academic units: arts, arts and sciences, business, divinity, education, health professions, law, nursing, pharmacy, and public health.

Dandridge makes Valdosta State University Dean’s List
VALDOSTA, Ga. – Sara Elizabeth Dandridge of Orange Park was among the more than 1,600 students who earned a spot on the Fall 2016 Dean’s List at Valdosta State University.
Students who achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3.00 or higher are recognized by being placed on the Dean's List. Developmental studies, transients, and graduate students are not eligible for Dean’s List status.

Clay student receives Piedmont academic honor
DEMOREST, Ga. – Ariel Villegas of Orange Park was named to the Fall 2016 Dean’s List after completing the semester with a grade-point-average of 3.5 to 3.99 out of a possible 4.0.
Piedmont College is an independent liberal arts college of more than 2,260 students, with campuses located in Demorest and Athens, Georgia. Founded in 1897, the college offers undergraduate degrees in more than 50 major areas, master’s degrees in education and business, and doctoral degrees in education.

Johnson Graduates from University of Evansville
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville announces that Kenyia Johnson of Fleming Island graduated during its Winter Commencement ceremony held December 14, 2016.
Johnson, who majored in sports management, graduated with a bachelor of science degree.
Located in Evansville, the University of Evansville is a private, liberal arts-based university with programs in the arts and sciences and in the professions. UE’s diverse student body represents 43 states and 51 countries.

Mount Mercy University releases Dean’s List
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – An Orange Park resident was among a group of students who were named to Mount Mercy University’s Fall 2016 Dean’s List.
Orange Park resident Madelyn Irwin, who is majoring in psychology, qualified to make the Dean’s List by having a semester grade point average of 3.60 or better, the requirement for inclusion on the Dean’s List.

Black graduates from Clemson University
CLEMSON, S.C. – Michael James Black of Orange Park graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor of science in mathematical sciences.
Black was among more than 1,300 students who received degrees in the Dec. 15 graduation ceremony at Littlejohn Coliseum.
